Finding the right place to stay in Conway, Arkansas, comes down to what matters most for your trip: easy interstate access, proximity to the local colleges, free breakfast, room for a family, a kitchen for a longer stay, or simply a dependable place to sleep without overspending. Conway has a useful mix of hotels around I-40, Sanders Road, Conway Commons, and the University of Central Arkansas area, plus short-term rentals for travelers who want more residential space.
Quick Answer
For most travelers, the best places to stay in Conway are established hotels near I-40, Sanders Road, and Conway Commons, with easy access to UCA, Hendrix College, downtown, shopping, and restaurants. Families may prefer free-breakfast hotels, extended-stay visitors benefit from full kitchens, and budget travelers should compare live total prices instead of fixed nightly rates.
Key Takeaways
- Families: Hampton Inn & Suites Conway, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Home2 Suites, and Holiday Inn Express are useful places to compare when free breakfast and convenient parking matter.
- Extended stays: Candlewood Suites Conway stands out for full kitchens and complimentary self-service laundry, while Home2 Suites offers suite-style rooms and free hot breakfast.
- More polished stays: Courtyard by Marriott Conway and Hilton Garden Inn Conway add features such as on-site dining and meeting facilities.
- Budget trips: Motel 6, Super 8, Microtel, and similar properties can be worth comparing, but use live rates for your exact dates instead of relying on a fixed price.
- Location: Conway attractions and colleges should be the focus of a Conway hotel search. Little Rock and North Little Rock attractions are better treated as regional day trips.
Note: Hotel prices, review scores, pet fees, cancellation rules, and availability can change by date and room type. Compare the final price for your exact travel dates, including taxes and fees, before booking.
Top Hotels for Families in Conway
Families visiting Conway have several practical hotel choices, especially if breakfast, an indoor pool, easy parking, or connecting-room options matter. Instead of choosing by a temporary review score, compare the amenities your family will actually use.
- Hampton Inn & Suites Conway: Hilton currently lists free hot breakfast, free parking, an indoor pool, fitness center, connecting rooms, cribs, pet-friendly rooms, and meeting space. It is also within a few miles of Conway’s three major colleges.
- Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Conway: A useful family option when complimentary breakfast and free on-site parking are priorities. The property also accepts pets under its current policy, with applicable restrictions and fees.
- Holiday Inn Express & Suites Conway: Offers complimentary breakfast and parking. Its current property policy does not allow pets, so families traveling with animals should choose another hotel.
- Home2 Suites by Hilton Conway: Combines suite-style accommodations with free hot breakfast, free parking, an indoor pool, fitness center, connecting rooms, and pet-friendly accommodations.
- Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Conway: Offers free hot breakfast, an indoor pool, and a location less than three miles from UCA, Hendrix College, and Central Baptist College. Its current policy permits service animals but not pets.
How to Choose Where to Stay in Conway
Your best location depends on why you are visiting. Many hotels sit close to I-40 and US-65, which is convenient for road trips, college visits, shopping, and short stays. Other properties are better positioned for specific campuses or longer visits.
- For quick I-40 access: The Sanders Road area includes Hampton Inn & Suites, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Holiday Inn Express, Candlewood Suites, La Quinta, Microtel, Super 8, and Comfort Inn & Suites.
- For shopping and restaurants: Hotels around Conway Commons and Amity Road put you close to a major retail and dining cluster.
- For UCA visits: Compare properties on the south and central sides of Conway, including Courtyard by Marriott Conway, along with hotels that advertise short driving distances to the university.
- For an extended stay: A kitchen and laundry facilities can matter more than a traditional hotel breakfast. Candlewood Suites is especially useful for this type of trip.
- For downtown events: Check the driving distance to downtown Conway before booking, especially during major festivals and university weekends when traffic and hotel availability can tighten.
Pro Tip: If your trip is tied to a university event, tournament, graduation, or downtown festival, compare refundable rates early. A slightly higher flexible rate can be more useful than the cheapest nonrefundable option if your plans may change.
Budget-Friendly Accommodations
If you’re trying to control lodging costs in Conway, compare value based on the total trip cost, not a single advertised nightly rate. Free parking, included breakfast, a kitchen, or complimentary laundry can make a slightly higher room rate cheaper overall.
Affordable Hotel Options
Motel 6 Conway is a straightforward option to compare for free parking, Wi-Fi, and pet-friendly rooms. Super 8 by Wyndham Conway currently advertises free parking and a free light breakfast item. Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Conway offers free breakfast, parking, Wi-Fi, a fitness center, and guest laundry.
For a longer visit, Candlewood Suites Conway can deliver better overall value because every suite has a full kitchen and guests have access to complimentary self-service laundry. La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Conway is another option to compare when complimentary breakfast, free parking, an indoor pool, and a fitness center matter.
Basic Amenities Offered
Budget-friendly does not always mean bare-bones. Depending on the property, Conway travelers can find free breakfast, parking, Wi-Fi, fitness facilities, indoor pools, guest laundry, or pet-friendly rooms. The important part is matching the amenities to your actual trip.
- Need to avoid restaurant spending? Prioritize a hotel with included breakfast or an in-room kitchen.
- Staying a week or more? Full kitchens and free laundry at Candlewood Suites can be particularly useful.
- Traveling with a pet? Verify the property’s current pet fee, size limits, and number-of-pets rule before paying.
- Driving a truck, trailer, or RV? Check the property’s current oversized-vehicle parking policy rather than assuming every free lot can accommodate it.
Ideal for Budget Travelers
Because nightly rates change constantly, this comparison focuses on durable value features rather than a price snapshot:
| Hotel | Useful Value Features | Best Fit |
|---|---|---|
| Motel 6 Conway | Free parking, Wi-Fi, pet-friendly rooms | Simple overnight stays and pet travelers |
| Super 8 by Wyndham Conway | Free parking, light breakfast, pet-friendly property | Road trips and short value-focused stays |
| Microtel Inn & Suites | Free breakfast, parking, Wi-Fi, fitness center, guest laundry | Travelers wanting several included basics |
| Candlewood Suites Conway | Full kitchens, complimentary self-service laundry, parking, pet-friendly rooms | Longer stays, families, and self-catering trips |
Hotels With Excellent Breakfast Options
If breakfast is an important part of your hotel decision, Conway gives you several choices. The key distinction is whether breakfast is included in the room rate, available as a buffet, limited to lighter items, or sold through an on-site restaurant.
Top Breakfast Buffets
Hampton Inn & Suites Conway lists a free hot breakfast, while Holiday Inn Express & Suites Conway includes complimentary breakfast with the stay. Fairfield Inn & Suites Conway currently offers complimentary buffet and hot breakfast, and Home2 Suites by Hilton Conway lists a free hot breakfast with a buffet format.
Comfort Inn & Suites Conway and Comfort Suites Conway also advertise free hot breakfast through their current Choice Hotels property pages, giving travelers several choices beyond a basic continental spread.
Unique Breakfast Offerings
Not every traveler wants the same breakfast setup. La Quinta by Wyndham Conway currently describes its complimentary Bright Side Breakfast with items such as eggs and waffles. Super 8 by Wyndham Conway offers a lighter complimentary breakfast option with a breakfast item and beverages.
Hilton Garden Inn Conway takes a different approach with cooked-to-order breakfast at the Garden Grille & Bar. Because Hilton Garden Inn breakfast terms can depend on the rate or package you book, do not assume it is complimentary without checking your reservation.
Family-Friendly Breakfast Options
Families may get the most value from a hotel where breakfast is already included, especially when several people are traveling together. Hampton Inn & Suites, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Holiday Inn Express, Home2 Suites, Country Inn & Suites, and the two Comfort properties are useful places to compare.
For longer family stays, a kitchen can be even more useful than a buffet. Candlewood Suites provides full kitchens with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, dishwasher, and cookware, letting you prepare breakfast on your own schedule.
Comfort-Focused and Upscale Stays in Conway
If you want a more polished stay, focus on properties offering newer rooms, on-site dining, larger suites, indoor pools, or business facilities rather than expecting a full resort-style luxury hotel experience. Several Conway properties fit that comfort-focused category:
- Hilton Garden Inn Conway: Offers an on-site restaurant, room service, indoor pool, fitness center, free parking, and meeting rooms.
- Courtyard by Marriott Conway: Offers modern rooms, on-site dining, an indoor pool, complimentary parking, EV charging, and a pet-friendly policy.
- Hampton Inn & Suites Conway: Combines free hot breakfast and parking with an indoor pool, fitness center, connecting-room options, and meeting space.
- Home2 Suites by Hilton Conway: A strong choice when you want suite-style accommodations, free breakfast, free parking, an indoor pool, and pet-friendly rooms.
- Comfort Suites Conway: Offers suites, free hot breakfast, an indoor heated pool, fitness facilities, EV charging, and meeting space.
Hotels With Convenient Parking
Free hotel parking is common among Conway’s major select-service properties, which is helpful if you are visiting by car. Current official hotel information confirms complimentary or free parking at Hampton Inn & Suites Conway, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Conway, Home2 Suites by Hilton Conway, Fairfield Inn & Suites Conway, Courtyard by Marriott Conway, Hilton Garden Inn Conway, and La Quinta by Wyndham Conway.
If you need EV charging, oversized-vehicle parking, covered parking, or space for a trailer, check those details separately. A property can advertise free parking without offering every type of parking setup.
Popular Conway Hotels to Compare
Booking volume changes from week to week and is not a reliable permanent ranking. Instead of treating any hotel as the definitive “most booked,” use this shortlist to compare location, amenities, cancellation terms, and total price for your own dates:
- Courtyard by Marriott Conway: Worth comparing for modern rooms, on-site dining, an indoor pool, free parking, and proximity to the UCA side of town.
- Holiday Inn Express & Suites Conway: Practical for travelers prioritizing complimentary breakfast and parking.
- Comfort Suites Conway: Offers free hot breakfast, an indoor heated pool, fitness facilities, and meeting space.
- Comfort Inn & Suites Conway: Offers free hot breakfast, an indoor heated pool, Wi-Fi, and a pet-friendly policy with restrictions.
- Super 8 by Wyndham Conway: A value-oriented option with free parking and a light breakfast included.
Hotels Near Local Attractions
If you want to spend most of your trip in Conway, prioritize hotels close to Conway attractions rather than choosing a property based on its distance from Little Rock. The University of Central Arkansas, Hendrix College, Central Baptist College, downtown Conway, Cadron Settlement Park, Beaverfork Lake, Conway Commons, and local sports facilities are more relevant landmarks for a Conway hotel search.
Hampton Inn & Suites says it is within three miles of UCA, Hendrix College, and Central Baptist College, with Beaverfork Lake less than a 10-minute drive away. Country Inn & Suites also advertises a location less than three miles from the three colleges. Courtyard by Marriott lists Cadron Settlement Park among nearby experiences.
Little Rock-area destinations can still make worthwhile day trips, but they are not Conway attractions. The Old State House Museum is in Little Rock, while Simmons Bank Arena, formerly known as Verizon Arena, is in North Little Rock. If those destinations are the main purpose of your trip, compare staying closer to Little Rock as well as Conway.
Unique and Cozy Stays in Conway
Vacation rentals and residential-style accommodations can be useful when you need several bedrooms, a kitchen, a yard, or more shared space than a standard hotel room. However, individual short-term rental names, ownership, availability, fees, and house rules can change much faster than hotel information.
Listings with names such as The Hip and Historic Home, Tucker Creek Casa, and Unit B – A Charming 3-Bedroom Duplex may appear on short-term rental platforms, but verify the live listing before relying on any description from an older guide.
- Historic-district homes: Useful if atmosphere and neighborhood character are more important than hotel services.
- Homes near trails or parks: Can work well for active families who want outdoor space and easy access to recreation.
- Multi-bedroom rentals: May offer better sleeping arrangements for larger families or groups.
- Pet policies: Never assume a rental is pet-free or pet-friendly. Check the current house rules and fees for the exact listing.
- Before booking: Review cleaning fees, cancellation terms, parking rules, occupancy limits, check-in requirements, and recent guest feedback.
